A quick and easy 4-ingredient no-churn mango protein ice cream that’s creamy, scoopable, and packed with protein. Perfect for a healthy dessert or post-workout treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen mango chunks (about 300g)
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (120g), full-fat or 2%
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (about 30g)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (15-30ml)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons milk or almond milk (optional, only if needed)

Instructions

  1. Set up your blender or food processor with a clean, dry blade.
  2. Add 2 cups of frozen mango chunks to the blender. Do not thaw.
  3. Add Greek yogurt, protein powder, honey, and a pinch of sea salt on top of the mango. Do not add any liquid yet.
  4. Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Stop and scrape down sides every 15-20 seconds. Blend for 60-90 seconds until thick and creamy. If the blender struggles, add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time as needed.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container. Smooth the top and cover tightly with a lid or plastic wrap pressed directly against the surface.
  7. Freeze for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, for a firm scoopable texture. For soft-serve, freeze for about 2 hours.
  8. Before serving, let the container sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. Run your ice cream scoop under hot water for clean scoops.

Notes

Do not over-blend to avoid warming the mixture. Freeze the container beforehand for better texture. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent ice crystals. Protein powder type affects texture; whey isolate works best. For dairy-free, use full-fat coconut yogurt. For vegan, use plant-based protein and maple syrup.
