Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie or leftover grilled)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (sharp preferred)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 24 wonton wrappers (square, refrigerated)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Optional: sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Shred the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces using two forks.
  3. Soften cream cheese in the microwave for 15-20 seconds until spreadable.
  4. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, Buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing. Stir until smooth.
  5. Add shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, blue cheese (if using), garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Lightly brush both sides of each wonton wrapper with melted butter.
  7. Press one wrapper into each cup of a standard 12-cup muffin tin, molding gently to the shape.
  8. Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture into each wonton cup.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until wonton wrappers are golden brown and filling is hot and bubbly.
  10. Let cool in the tin for 2-3 minutes before removing. Serve warm.

Notes

Don’t skip brushing wonton wrappers with butter for crispiness. Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture. For make-ahead, assemble cups up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate; add 2-3 minutes to baking time. For air fryer, cook at 350°F for 8-10 minutes. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
