These Easy Candy Corn Layered Jello Cups are a fun, festive, and forgiving no-bake dessert that looks way more complicated than it actually is. With three distinct layers of Jello and a creamy sweetened condensed milk center, they are perfect for Halloween parties and fall gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (3 oz) lemon Jello
  • 1 box (3 oz) orange Jello
  • 1 box (3 oz) strawberry or raspberry Jello
  • Boiling water (as directed on Jello boxes, about 1 cup per box)
  • Cold water (as directed on Jello boxes, about 1 cup per box)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 packet (0.25 oz) unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup cold water (for blooming gelatin)
  • 1/2 cup boiling water (for dissolving gelatin)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the first Jello layer (bottom): Dissolve orange Jello powder in 1 cup boiling water. Stir for 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Add 1 cup cold water and stir. Pour into cups, filling each about one-third full. Refrigerate for about 1 hour until firm.
  2. Prepare the cream layer: Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over 1/4 cup cold water. Let sit for 5 minutes to bloom. In a separate bowl, pour 1/2 cup boiling water and add bloomed gelatin. Stir until dissolved. Add sweetened condensed milk and whisk until smooth. Let cool to room temperature (about 15 minutes).
  3. Add the cream layer: Once orange layer is set and cream mixture is room temperature, gently spoon cream mixture over orange layer, filling cups about two-thirds full. Refrigerate for 1 to 1.5 hours until firm.
  4. Prepare the top Jello layer: Dissolve lemon Jello in 1 cup boiling water, stir for 2 minutes, then add 1 cup cold water. Let cool to room temperature (about 15-20 minutes).
  5. Add the top layer: Once cream layer is set, gently spoon cooled lemon Jello over the top, filling cups to the rim. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully firm.
  6. Serve: Serve cold straight from the refrigerator. Garnish with whipped cream or candy corn pieces if desired.

Notes

Patience is key: each layer must be fully set before adding the next. Always let mixtures cool to room temperature before pouring to prevent layers from blending. Use the back of a spoon when pouring to avoid disturbing the layer underneath. For faster setting, cups can be placed in the freezer for 15-20 minutes per layer, but watch carefully to avoid freezing. These cups taste even better the next day as flavors meld.
