These Easy Crockpot Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs use just five simple ingredients to create a sticky, glossy sauce that clings to every piece of chicken. The crockpot does all the work, delivering tender, flavorful chicken perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 to 5 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tablespoon pre-minced)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons sriracha (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Trim excess fat if desired.
  2. Arrange the chicken thighs in a single layer at the bottom of your crockpot.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sriracha until well combined.
  4. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken thighs, ensuring each piece is coated.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or on HIGH for 2.5 to 3 hours, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and shreds easily.
  6. Optional: During the last 30 minutes, remove the lid to let the sauce thicken. For a thicker glaze, transfer cooked chicken to a plate, pour sauce into a small saucepan, and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until reduced. Return chicken to pot and toss to coat.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice if desired. Serve hot over rice, quinoa, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

Do not open the crockpot lid frequently as it adds cooking time. For a thicker sauce, reduce on the stovetop. Chicken thighs are preferred over breasts for moisture. Taste the sauce before pouring over chicken to adjust sweetness or saltiness.
