A quick and easy sheet pan dinner featuring juicy shrimp and crisp-tender broccoli coated in a sticky honey garlic sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights, this one-pan meal comes together in about 25 minutes with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) raw large or jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined (2125 count)
  • 4 cups (about 1 lb) fresh broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup (85g) honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 23 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, 1 tablespoon olive oil, rice vinegar, sesame oil (if using), and red pepper flakes (if desired). Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on one half of the prepared sheet pan. Roast for 5 minutes.
  5. Place dried shrimp in a large bowl. Pour half of the honey garlic sauce over shrimp and toss gently to coat. Reserve remaining sauce.
  6. After 5 minutes, remove sheet pan from oven. Push broccoli to one side and arrange coated shrimp in a single layer on the other side, ensuring they do not overlap.
  7. Return sheet pan to oven and roast for 6-8 minutes, until shrimp are pink and opaque and broccoli is crisp-tender with lightly charred edges.
  8. Remove from oven. Drizzle reserved honey garlic sauce over everything. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately over steamed rice, quinoa, or noodles.

Notes

Pat shrimp dry thoroughly to ensure caramelization. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two pans if needed. Shrimp cook quickly—start checking at 6 minutes. For best results, cut broccoli into uniform pieces. Double the sauce for extra flavor: use half for marinating and half for drizzling. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in a skillet with a splash of water or broth.
