A quick and easy buffalo chicken dip with a fun spiderweb design, perfect for Halloween parties, game days, and family snacks. Made with simple ingredients and ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken (canned or rotisserie)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons ranch dressing (for spiderweb)
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream (for spiderweb)
  • Assorted dippers: tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, crackers, or bread cubes
  • Optional garnish: chopped chives or green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Let cream cheese soften on counter for 10 minutes (or microwave 15 seconds).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, 1/4 cup ranch dressing, and 1/2 cup shredded cheddar. Stir until well combined.
  3. Transfer mixture to a greased 8×8 inch baking dish or small skillet. Spread evenly.
  4. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese over the top. Add blue cheese crumbles if using.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes until hot and bubbly, and cheese is melted and lightly browned at edges.
  6. While dip bakes, mix 2 tablespoons ranch dressing with 1 tablespoon sour cream. Transfer to a piping bag or zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped off.
  7. As soon as dip comes out of oven, pipe a spiral pattern from center outward. Use a toothpick to drag lines from center to edges to create a web effect.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes. Serve warm with dippers. Garnish with chives or green onions if desired.

Notes

For a milder version, use 1/4 cup buffalo sauce and add extra ranch. For spicier, use 3/4 cup buffalo sauce and add cayenne. Can be made ahead: prepare base up to 24 hours in advance, refrigerate, then bake and add spiderweb before serving. Leftovers keep in fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in oven at 350°F for 10 minutes or microwave in 30-second intervals.
